Custom Printed Wine Labels on Rolls

Whether producing wine labels in vast quantities for imported supermarket wines, personalised wine labels for event and marketing purposes or producing high-quality labels for the ever growing number of vineyards, we’re a trusted roll label manufacturer. Wine labels are synonymous with premium paper stocks, hot foil stamping and high quality-printing methods. Read on to take a look at each element in a little more detail.

The Rise and Rise of Printing Wine Labels Digitally

Traditionally, wine labels are printed using a process called offset lithography; a high-quality end result that requires volume to make printing wine labels cost-effective. Consumers now demand choice and its this comes a responsibility for brand owners to create an increased amount of label variations. Digital label printing allows brand owners to print multiple variations and vintages on the same print run at extremely cost-effective prices whether printing on bottles or cans. Marketeers can also utilise the digital printing process for personalisation and limited edition campaigns. There is no doubt that the production of Australian and New Zealand wines is a fast growing market; digital label printing allows for a cost effective pricing structure at smaller runs without any compromise on quality.

Premium Materials

The more beautiful and premium the label, the better the wine? Brand owners often use premium paper material stocks that help create a higher perceived value at the point of sale. We stock a wide range of industry -ready label materials; including those used extensively across the wine labels sector. Furthermore, we offer a range of specialist materials synonymous with the wine industry. Premium paper stocks with a thin lamination layer that ensures suitability for placement in ice buckets (now becoming more and more popular with craft beer labels) as well as labels that are delivered on a PET carrying band; this simply allows the bottling lines to run faster.

Premium Embellishments; Hot Foil Stamping

Hot foil stamping is synonymous with wine bottle labelling as it allows brand owners to add a premium look to printed wine labels at a cost effective price. Oftentimes, brand owners will only hot foil the front and neck labels of a bottle as these have most impact at the point of sale. The reverse label is usually produced using a simple black print as well as on a cheaper label stock. Hot foil stamping is not to be confused with embossing; read more about labels with embossing here

Wine Labels FAQs

Providing that the same facestock is used in production then we are able to produce both the front and reverse labels on the same roll. We simply combine the sizes of both labels and produce using a custom cutting tool.

Traditionally, gold and silver coloured hot foils have sufficed in the wine labels sector. However, as more brands look to differentiate themselves with more contemporary designs the use of more colours has become more commonplace; a continuing trend across recent years has been copper coloured hot foils.
