Robust Scratch-Resistant Labels
Scratch-resistant labels are particularly suitable for products that require additional protection against abrasion. Classic paper labels are usually quite unsuitable for products in the beverage, industrial, cosmetics or chemical sectors, where stress is high. We therefore recommend scratch-resistant labels.
The Advantages of Scratch-Resistant Labels:
- Abrasion-resistant
- Tear-resistant
- Permanently legible
- Oil and moisture resistant
- Strong and permanent adhesion
- Versatile in use
How Do You Make the Labels Scratch-Resistant?
For scratch-resistant labels, we always recommend a tear-resistant polypropylene film. Film labels are naturally durable and resistant to both moisture and oil. To provide optimal protection against abrasion, we recommend applying a film laminate – an additional film layer that not only shields the label surface from wear but but also enhances its resistance to moisture and oil.
On Prime Labels you’ll find both matt and glossy film options. In addition to the standard films, we also offer a specially formulated scratch-resistant film. We’re happy to provide personalised advice on the best film types for your intended application and durability requirements of your products. Just get in touch with us – we will be happy to help you!
Please note: While the labels are scratch-resistant, this does not mean they can withstand intentional damage from fingernails or other tools. Film lamination protects against everyday wear and tear, such as abrasion and minor scratches but not against deliberate damage.
