Labels with DPG logo
Etiqueta.es is licensed to print the DPG deposit marking on your adhesive labels. The DPG marking is printed with a special ink. This marks the product as subject to deposit and can (only) be recognized by the deposit machines in this way. For this reason, printing with this special deposit ink can only be done by specially authorized label manufacturers at certified locations.
Note: As a beverage label manufacturer, you must be registered with Deutsche Pfandsystem GmbH (DPG) in order to order your deposit labels.
How can I participate in the DPG system?
To participate in the DPG system, you will need to mark your products subject to deposit with the DPG mark, which consists of the DPG color and the barcode with the global trade item number (GTIN). Before you can order labels with the warehouse logo, you must register with DPG Deutsche Pfandsystem GmbH as a manufacturer. Apply for a Global Location Number (GLN) by registering your items in the DPG database. With this number, you can generate your own GTIN, which you will need to mark your articles. This GTIN is a unique and exclusive number for the German beverage market.
Please note: Only after registration will you be able to order your deposit labels with the corresponding GTIN.
Guidelines for DPG deposit labels
The use of the DPG label is subject to a number of rules that must be observed:
#1 The size of the DPG logo is clearly regulated and is 14 x 16 mm (width x height) with a safety margin and 10 x 13 mm (width x height) without a safety margin. The white border around the DPG mark should be at least 2 mm to the right/left and at least 1.5 mm at the top/bottom of the DPG mark. However, we recommend a distance of 2 mm also on the sides for possible deviations during die-cutting.
#2 Only one DPG marking and one EAN barcode is allowed per package. EAN-13 and EAN-8 codes are allowed with a magnification factor of 0.8 to 2.0 (continuous; according to GS1 recommendations).
#3 By default, the DPG mark is placed above the barcode, the so-called ladder format (left). A different orientation of the DPG mark in combination with a barcode, e.g. fence format (right), is not allowed.
#4 The container must be cylindrical in shape. This is the only way to ensure that the DPG marking and code can be read by the return machines. In addition, the DPG marking must not be placed over grooves or edges.
#The container must have a minimum diameter of 50 mm and a maximum diameter of 120 mm at the place where the DPG marking + EAN code is to be applied. The length of the package must be between a minimum of 75 mm and a maximum of 380 mm.

Do you want to post-label containers for the deposit system? These deposit labels are mainly used to label small quantities or imported goods and are either affixed over an existing barcode or added to the main label.
