Chemical Labels
As a specialist label manufacturer, we understand that chemical labels must meet evolving legal requirements — from permitted materials and print specifications to the adhesive properties of self-adhesive labels.
Chemical Label Legalities
As you probably know, chemical labels need to meet various legal standards to do with:
- The materials they’re printed on
- How they’re printed
- Their adhesive properties (for self-adhesive labels).
These standards are part of the ‘Globally Harmonised System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals’, GHS for short, an internationally agreed programme which was initiated by the United Nations on June 1, 2015. The GHS standards ensure all hazardous goods are identified the same way, and anyone who manufacturers, imports or supplies chemical compounds and substances must follow them.
For us, as a manufacturer of labels, this means that we must supply self-adhesive labels as well as polypropylene and polyethylene film labels printed with the correct identifications, hazard and safety warnings.
Labels for Chemicals
Polypropylene (PP) and Polyethylene (PE) Roll Labels
Chemical labels need to stay adhesive and legible for the life of the container. They need to be resistant to chemical substances so you can always find out what’s inside.
So our rolls and film labels are all made from polypropylene and polyethylene, which fulfil all the hazardous substance labeling requirements.
Ordering Labels for Chemicals Online Saves Time & Money
As a manufacturer or bottler of chemicals, you understand that packaging must meet strict regulations to ensure user safety. This means not only using materials resistant to the product’s contents, but also ensuring label printing complies with all legal requirements.
